A short, friendly walkthrough: sign in, connect your sheet, add your people, and log your first conversation. No install, no credit card — and your data never leaves your own Google Drive.
Orientation
What is Folkbase?
Your personal relationship manager — a private CRM for your own life and work.
It keeps the people you know — and every conversation, note, task, and event — in one place, stored in a single Google Sheet in your own Drive. The five steps below get you from sign-in to a living record of your people in a few minutes.
01
Sign in
Connect your sheet
Sign in with Google and Folkbase creates one private sheet — named "Folkbase - [Your Name]" — in your own Drive. Approve the Google Drive (file) access and you're set — about two minutes, one time.
02
Import
Add your first people
Import a CSV, iPhone, or vCard export — or add contacts one at a time. Only a name is required; org, location, phone, and notes are all optional.
Log a touchpoint — call, email, meeting, text — with a type and outcome. Every one updates that person's "last contacted" date, so no one quietly goes cold.
Hit the floating note button (or Cmd/Ctrl + B) from any screen and just type. Loose notes collect in your Inbox; triage them onto the right person later.
Tasks due today land on your Dashboard. Lists and Trackers walk you through a group one person at a time, and the Network view maps how everyone connects.
