Folkbase is a free personal CRM that keeps your relationships in a Google Sheet you own.
There are no leads, no deals, and no pipeline stages, because Folkbase is not built for sales. It keeps the people you know (and every conversation, note, task, and event) in one place, stored in a single Google Sheet in your own Drive. By following the five steps below, you can go from keeping everything in your mind to finally having everything written down.
Sign in with Google, and Folkbase creates one private sheet named “Folkbase - [Your Name]” in your own Google Drive. Approve the Google Drive (file) access and you’re all set.
Import your contacts with a CSV, iPhone, or vCard export. Or add them one at a time! Only a name is required; organization(s), location(s), phone, and notes are all optional. Bringing over a messy list? Folkbase’s built-in deduplication tool merges the obvious duplicate contacts for you, so a 900-person export doesn’t land as chaos.
Log a touchpoint with your contact: call, email, text, meeting, or event. Identify the outcome and it will connect into a contact’s profile. Touchpoints update a contact’s “last contacted” date, meant to help remind you to stay in touch.
Hit the floating note button (or Cmd/Ctrl + B) from any screen and just type. Attach a note to a person, event, or task, or leave it loose for later. Loose notes collect in your Inbox; triage them onto the right record when you’re ready.
